The most amazing search engine of all

GodSearch1Have you tried the most amazing search engine of all? No, it’s not Google, or Yahoo…but it is free…and it’s a He, and if you have received Him by faith, He lives inside of you right now. Here’s what I mean…

“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (1 Cor.2:9-10)

Before we go on, let’s pause and ponder this for a moment…when are we to receive such wonderful things that God has prepared for us? In the “sweet-by-and-by” when all struggle, limitations, loss, hardships, and toil and sweat have ceased? Or now, when we really need it?

Do we understand what Paul is trying to tell us here? First, he quotes the Old Testament (Isa.64:4) where it says that we cannot see, hear or know in our heart the things God has prepared for us. And this is where many leave off. That makes a nice sentiment to put on a plaque, but thank God it doesn’t end there. You see, Paul often does this. He will use the limitations of the Old Covenant to show how they’re removed under the New. And here, he removes these human limitations by saying, “But God….”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit…”

But God! Hallelujah! For whenever you see a But God” in Scripture, you know something has dramatically changed. And what has changed is that we can now know the things that God has prepared for us. In fact, that’s exactly what He wants us to know. We can now know those things we didn’t even know we didn’t know! It’s the “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph.3:20). These are the very “deep things” of God…

“…For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”

You see, what this “Search Engine” reveals is not in the realm of your human knowledge, it’s the knowledge of God. You will never study it out and find it, figure it out or come up with it in your mind, without the Spirit revealing it. Nevertheless, He invites you and me to plumb the very depths of all that He has. And what He has is the very storehouse of the knowledge of Heaven! Do you know what this means? Is your head going tilt yet? Well, there’s more…

Jesus was trying to tell us this very thing when He talked about why He had to leave so He could send us the Holy Spirit. First, He does a Jack Nicholson on His disciples, “You can’t handle the truth right now.” But you will when I send the Helper.”

Here’s what He actually said…

“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.  13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth…” (John 16:12-13)

But Jesus doesn’t stop there. He goes on to say one of the most amazing things in all the Gospels…

All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:15)

Did you catch that? What do you think “all things” meant to Jesus? Let’s unpack this. First, Jesus said that the Father gave everything He has to Him. Again, how much does our heavenly Father have? Then, Jesus goes on to say that He will give us the Holy Spirit, who will take the “all things” that Jesus has and reveal them to us. Right…tilt!

So let me ask you. In light of this, what has God withheld from us? Do you see why it’s just absurd that Christians aren’t the most ridiculously brilliant, creative, and artistic human beings on the planet? We should be leading every field–the arts, medical, sciences, media, education….  After all, Who is, by nature, the very essence of brilliance, all wisdom and knowledge? Who do you think actually has every answer we’re looking for? Hello?

Sadly, we used to lead these fields centuries long ago, before we became “enlightened” and dumbed Christianity down to a very human level, making God in our own image, worshiping logic and reason, and pushing just about everything Jesus gave us into the age to come. It’s pathetically sad, no, it’s criminal! Because this humanistic theology has stolen our inheritance from us.

God bought us with His own blood so we would be restored to our original purpose (Gen.1:26-28; Ps.115:16), to rule and reign as royal sons and daughters on the earth under His leadership, but we have abdicated our responsibility. There’s no other way to say it.

But God never reveals these things to us to condemn us, or for us to point a finger at what isn’t happening in the world, but to prepare us for an upgrade. Are you ready for an upgrade from heaven?

So, I say to you, much beloved son/daughter of the Most High God who sits on His Throne over heaven and earth….fellow co-heir with Christ, seated in heavenly places with Him, the fullness of Him who fills all in all…let’s change it! The only thing holding us back is between our ears. Hear our brother Paul pleading with us to break out of our humanness….

“Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!” (2 Cor.6:12 MSG)

Beloved, it’s time we were out of our minds. Really! Or at least stop limiting ourselves to our mere human thinking. Why not have the Holy Spirit search it out for us?

It should be like in the Matrix movie, if we need to know something, we get the download from heaven. Okay, maybe it’s not that easy, but it’s that simple, and it’s available…if we have the tenacity to keep on asking, seeking, knocking, that is (Mt.7:7-11). But that comes by faith, not by reason or by might, or whether people think it can be done…or even contemplated. Or do we think Jesus was lying when He said that the door would be opened to us? No, He have us the Holy Spirit, and He seems to think nothing is impossible with Him. So, what are we waiting for?

Hey, I know. This sounds crazy. But I have learned that if it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably God. These are the contemplations that stick in my brain…that haunt the very depths of my soul. (Yes, it’s a Holy Ghost story!) But what a wondrous haunting it is! And I hear Him bidding me to venture out into the very depths of Himself for my highest good, for the fullest of joy, for my destiny, to live with the fullest of purpose…for my family, for the world. Maybe He’s haunting you, too. I can feel His smile right now…you are loved!

Do you need a breakthrough somewhere? New ideas for a business? New technology to solve a problem facing humanity? More effective ways to relieve suffering around the world? New creativity? Do you want to create new art forms or music?  Need answers for anything?

What are the possibilities when God’s amazing, beloved, radiant sons and daughters start getting this? Again…tilt!

Hey, the world needs help…and you’re it. Get searching…

Tilt! I’m in! I want to see everything. If it has my name on it in heaven, I want it, now. We’ve only scratched the surface.
