The Way | Pat Barrett

I love this new song by Pat Barrett (Housefires). It’s a declarative song based on several  Scripture passages. At the center is Jesus’ statement in John 14:6:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6 NKJV)

We believe Jesus is the way to living the life we were meant to live. He’s the truth about who we really are, humankind’s blueprint, the logos, the Living Expression, which is the structuring reality for everything (John 1:1-3). And Jesus is the means by which we have become sons and daughters who can call God our Abba Father! (Gal.4:4-6)

So, give the song a listen…turn it up…and rejoice! Beloved, it’s a new horizon! His mercies are new every morning. Know that God is for you and He loves you more than you could ever possibly know (but it’s fun trying!).

About Mel Wild

God's favorite (and so are you), a son and a father, happily married to the same beautiful woman for 40 years. We have three incredible adult children. My passion is pursuing the Father's heart in Christ and giving it away to others. My favorite pastime is being iconoclastic and trailblazing the depths of God's grace. I'm also senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in Wisconsin.
