God is for you.
He is not against you.
Do you hear me, precious one…God is for you.
God is for you.
He is with you…in fact, He ever lives in you, and He is faithful to complete what He’s begun in you.
Nothing can stand between you and Him. His love is always full-on…there’s nowhere you can hide from His love.
You are never alone and He will never leave you…
…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? (Heb.13:5b-6 AMP)
Will you believe this?
Even when you feel abandoned and afraid?
God is always good in all that He does. We see this when we open our eyes to it…
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to him. (Psalm 34:8 MSG)
Will you taste and see His goodness?
Even when everything in your life is screaming otherwise?
His fountain of grace and mercy are always pouring out from His love. His love washes every weary heart that opens up to Him. His way is full of peace and joy and love.
Will you open up and let Him love you?
Even in the midst of feelings of rejection and pain?
Here’s a song by Bryan and Katie Torwalt that I think will help you do just that!
You are SO loved!
Mel, what if He is you? I mean, we say He is in us but what if it you can’t ever find a place for space between us and Him so really He is us. We are like a finger on a hand and that hand is on a body and that body is the infinite God. What if when Jesus said He and the Father were one, He was telling us who we are? We aren’t the infinite God, but aren’t we His manifestation on the earth? Allan Watts says we are God (in a tiny lesser form but of the same substance) who is in a dream where He forgot He was as Us. Doesn’t hurt my head and eliminates any concept of separation and explains the “in His image” and could be described as being a child of God. Anyway, something to think about. Love you Mel. You are a trailblazer.
Great thought, Lance. Metaphorically, we are Jesus’ body parts walking around. But the really cool thing is, we don’t lose ourselves in this union. We’re not God, but we’re gods! (Jesus said that, btw – John 10:33-35). And this shouldn’t go to our heads because we’re dead! Our life is Christ’s life. Dead people don’t have big egos. 🙂
As you know, the technical term for this ‘community of being’ in the Trinitarian Godhead is “perichoresis.” It means that the three persons,…Father, Son, and Spirit…are so mutually interpenetrating in their union that they must be called one, yet each person maintains its distinctive identity. The Father doesn’t become Jesus, or vice versa. This is the same union we have with God in Christ. We’ve been received into HIS mutually interpenetrating relationship, yet we don’t lose our distinctiveness as a unique human being.
I like what David Kowalick said about this in the “Union” video I posted last week… “Eternal life is the never ending connection between the Father and the Son, and we begin the journey into the never-ending connection with God, and the closer we get to God, the more distinct, the more human we become. We don’t lose ourselves in God, we become ourselves in God.” This is all part of going from “glory to glory!” (2 Cor.3:18)
We’re living in truly exciting and amazing times! We’re finally finding out who we are, Whose we are, and where we are, living from that “thin space” where heaven meets earth, in the eternal union in Christ. Just maybe, when people see us they will finally see Jesus. Just a thought…Blessings.
Amen! It’s such a simple but powerful truth. Sometimes it’s one that’s easy to pass over quickly but when you stop and think about the fact that the creator of this world loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love it really puts things into perspective and reminds you that even when you are going through a trial or storm it doesn’t diminish God’s love and goodness and His love for you then is just as real as it is during the more joyful seasons in life. Thanks for sharing Mel!
Amen, Anna. It is so simple and powerful and easy not to recognize, especially during the storm. He is SO good!
Good to hear from you again! 🙂 Blessings.
