Unstoppable love

unstoppable-love_dropGod’s love is unstoppable, unshakable, unfathomable, and unfailing toward you. He’s relentlessly and tenaciously pursuing you, patiently and faithfully waiting for you to look His way…for just one sign of your reception of His affection.

You can’t outrun, run over, or run away from His love. And when you run to the end of yourself, He is there waiting…with open arms of love.

When you finally embrace His embrace, everything changes and you finally know where you belong for the very first time. Every cell in your being radiates and resonates with overwhelming and life-giving Love.

To know God is to know love. To not know love is to not know God.  His love is lavish, extravagant, over-the-top, and wastefully foolish to those who don’t know Him. Yet, He continues to pour out His love on you, until it overflows the wall you’ve erected around your heart and drowns every fear and doubt in His endless Ocean of love.

To see His face is to see the face of love. His eyes are aflame with passionate affection and His every direction points to your connection, for He has made it His mission to bring you to the Great Reception.

Love has invited to you this Divine Dance. Will you dance?

Understand that everything God does in your life has one sole purpose—to remove anything that hinders love. He removed every hindrance that separated you from Him on the cross. He paid the highest price for you by giving what was most precious to Him–His beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

The only hindrance left is what’s hindering your heart to be loved…your willingness to be loved by Love.

Beloved and most sought-out one of God, are you persuaded, as Paul was when he said…

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom.8:38-39 NKJV)

Here’s a song by Jesus Culture that came out last year that’s been a favorite of mine. Why don’t you take a few minutes and listen to the song. Ponder these things in your heart, and let God love you. You won’t be disappointed.

You are SO loved!

Unstoppable Love
by Christa Black, Kim Walker-Smith, Skyler Smith

Try to stop Your love, and You would wage a war
Try to take the very thing You gave Your life for
And You would come running; tear down every wall
All the while shouting, My love you’re worth it all!

God You pursue me with power and glory
unstoppable love that never ends
You’re unrelenting with passion and mercy
Unstoppable love that never ends

You broke into the silence and sang a song of hope
A melody resounding in the deep of my soul
You have come running; You tore down every wall
All the while shouting, My love you’re worth it all!

No sin, no shame, no past, no pain
can separate me from Your love
No height, no depth, no fear, no death
can separate me from Your love.

About Mel Wild

God's favorite (and so are you), a son and a father, happily married to the same beautiful woman for 36 years. We have three incredible adult children. My passion is pursuing the Father's heart in Christ and giving it away to others. My favorite pastime is being iconoclastic and trailblazing the depths of God's grace. I'm also senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in Wisconsin.

  1. Love it when we’re on exactly the same page at the same time, Mel. SO blessed to know you, to be a member of your online church. My heart is full reading this. ❤

  2. Cindy Powell says:

“When you finally embrace His embrace, everything changes and you finally know where you belong for the very first time.” As Kris Vallotton would say, “That there’s a good word!” So grateful to know fullness of love and belonging ONLY in His embrace. And,by the way, that song is one of my favorites too 🙂 So good!!
