Message for 2014 — “Quit your job!” | Lance Wallnau

quitting-my-job-lance-wallnauBeloved, this is a prophetic message for the Body of Christ that we really need to hear in this hour. Especially when it comes to our lack of faith for our provision to do His work in the Kingdom.

Rather than it being our finest hour, much of the Beloved Bride of Christ today is imploding in unbelief and paranoia–where misery-driven Christianity seems to reign and even gets applauded by the insecure in Christ. We’re not focused on Jesus, being Jesus in this world, but on what’s wrong with the world. We need to start believing God’s Word for us and start “reigning in life” instead of retreating in fear.

I’ve included a partial re-post from Mark Hendrickson’s blog, “Quote: Lance Wallnau -“Quit your Job.” Here is an excerpt…

“Yes. I heard this and strongly urge you to quit your job. “I’m Quitting my job tomorrow” – Lance Wallnau. I am not saying you should “leave” your job. You should quit working the way you do.

Continuing later in the article…

“This Jesus is the one who commanded us to “not worry about food, or drink, or clothing, or shelter…”For after all these things do the Gentiles seek, for your heavenly Father KNOWS that ye have need of all these things.”

What did he say? “All these things do the GENTILES seek”…The Gentiles? The UNBELIEVER’S seek these things.

But how is it today?

Christian’s are by in large some of the most financially desperate and neurotically “End Time” preoccupied people I meet. Churches and ministries constantly needing money and shaking down anxious followers for the means to “change the world?” With what message? Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and Muslims aren’t branded by offerings and financial crisis. We are.

In the midst of the New Year, 5774 or whatever you want to call it, the most anxious people on earth are the believers who are preoccupied with the future…what’s going to happen next? Will there be a collapse of the economic system? What judgment is coming on my nation – TOMORROW!?!?

But who are the ONLY ones who were told “TAKE NO THOUGHT ABOUT TOMORROW”? Believers!

That’s why you need to QUIT your job and START your ministry! Your work is now your ministry.” Continue to Mark’s blog to read the rest

We are told to seek the Kingdom first, not our employment or provision or anything else. This is the secret to living a fulfilling life, overflowing in Him (John 10:10 AMP).

SupernaturalProvisionI would like to also point out that Mark has written an awesome book called “Supernatural Provision.” You need to check that out, read it, believe it. 🙂

Beloved, let’s shed our victim-based, fear-driven Christianity and embrace Christ, who ALWAYS leads us into triumph (2 Cor.2:14), as beloved sons and daughters of His glorious kingdom that has  come on the earth through us,

He seems to think nothing is impossible if we actually will believe Him.  Just a thought…

Mel, great statement – “Christian’s are by in large some of the most financially desperate and neurotically “End Time” preoccupied people I meet. Churches and ministries constantly needing money and shaking down anxious followers for the means to “change the world?””
Sadly, the ‘world changes’ that these kind of believers and system bring is just more bondage. Financial need and missions to save the world certainly do take their toll.
We need to learn be in the moment/present, then chill, i.e. abide = quit! It’s amazing the fruit He can produce when we do that!

Amen! Yes, we don’t need an evangelization of more orphan-hearted Christianity based in fear and guilt. Like you said, we need to “chill” in Christ! The Holy Spirit is our best motivator, not guilt and manipulation driven by financial need. We are to export the radiant love of Christ alive in us, the hope of glory. That’s what the world is looking for, not our religious version of conspiracy theories and paranoid fear mongering. Thanks for your comments, Nancy. Much appreciated.
