This is a follow up post to “Life without borders on the ocean of God.” I thought I would share the encounter with God we had last Sunday that inspired me to write the post.
I want to share that encounter by way of an audio recording from our time of worship last Sunday morning.
The recording represents a small segment of the worship that begins where we were singing the bridge section of the song “Oceans.” I start it here because it’s where the Lord sovereignly led us onto His ocean! From there, an extended time of spontaneous worship and a song of the Lord (recording edited for length), prophetic exhortations, leading us into communion. It turned out to be an absolutely holy moment, a precious time in the Father’s embrace as we corporately responded to the Spirit of God by unreservedly opening our hearts and consecrating ourselves afresh to Him.
It was just a beautiful way to start the year. 🙂
As I mentioned, this is edited for length (a little over 14 minutes long) but the mix is straight off the sound board so it not profession quality. The only important thing to know is that heaven was open and God was calling us out of our boat to walk with Him on the water!
And, by the way, about 11 minutes into it, my beautiful and brilliant wife, Maureen, gives an impassioned prophetic exhortation for us to venture out into this ocean with God, trusting Him, giving more of ourselves to Him. You’ll see why I’m trying to get her to contribute a few writings here. 🙂
My sincere prayer is that you would venture onto this same ocean with God and that we would all have an amazing year full of joy and full of Him!

It’s beautiful when a pastor and congregation is led by the Spirit…and follows. Bless you for being the vessel that you are.
Thanks. Appreciate that. I’ve always wanted to lead a local church that I would actually like to be part of. 🙂
We have decided that our first priority on Sunday morning is connection with God, not hear a sermon. To live out 1 Cor.14:26. I do usually preach but there are many times I don’t. Don’t need to. God does it beautifully through His people led by His Spirit.
The document, “Decisions that Define Us” by David Crone really says it all for us. 🙂
Wow. Just wow.
