Healing the Orphan Heart | Leif Hetland

This is a classic video interview with Leif Hetland. He shares his testimony and describes what it means to live in our orphan version of Christianity.  One great quote from this interview…

“Father God always wanted a family. But we have in America, close to a half-million orphanages. We call them churches. Where orphans are coming and hoping that “Papa” is going to come and visit…And when we have a special Sunday or a special meeting, when Papa comes to visit…we say, ‘Wow, Papa came… I got a kiss from Papa!’ …Then, we live the rest of the time as orphans, not having a place in the Father’s embrace, not hearing His voice, not seeing His face. When you have a wrong view of God, you will have a wrong view of yourself. And it’s not what you do that makes you who you are; it’s who you are that makes you do what you do.”

About Mel Wild

God's favorite (and so are you), a son and a father, happily married to the same beautiful woman for 40 years. We have three incredible adult children. My passion is pursuing the Father's heart in Christ and giving it away to others. My favorite pastime is being iconoclastic and trailblazing the depths of God's grace. I'm also senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in Wisconsin.
